Sir,

In acknowledging the receipt of your letter dated 30th April 1896, No: 9080, I am desired by the Marquess of Lansdowne to acquaint you that arrangements can be made to receive Sergeant G.W. Masking of the Hong Kong Volunteer Corps for the Long Course of Gunnery instruction, which will commence at the Artillery College, Woolwich, early in January 1897.

It is assumed that Mr. Masking will be lodged, rationed, etc., in the same manner as the other Non-Commissioned Officers.
